Skilled Butcher • Boston, Lincolnshire • Pay Rate: £16.58 - £18.78 per hour (£34,486 - £39,062 per year) Overtime Rate of £17.58 - £19.88 • 40 hours per week - 5 days from 6 (Sunday - Friday) C.J. Butchers, part of Pilgrim Foodservice are looking for experienced Skilled Butchers to join our team at our purpose-built butchery facility in Boston. Pilgrim Foodservice is one of the UK’s leading family-owned foodservice wholesalers, supplying pubs, restaurants, schools, hotels and catering businesses across the region. Our butchery team plays a key role in delivering high-quality fresh meat products to customers every day. This is a hands-on role working with beef, pork, lamb and chicken in both carcass and part-processed form within a fast-paced wholesale environment. No slaughter takes place on site. Duties Include • Cutting and preparing meat to customer specification • Working with beef, pork, lamb and chicken • Producing mince, burgers and sausages • Using butchery machinery safely and correctly • Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards • Receiving and handling stock deliveries What We’re Looking For • Previous butchery experience essential • Strong knife skills • Experience working within a commercial or wholesale butchery environment - either a butchers shop or production facility • Strong understanding of food hygiene and health & safety • Reliable with good attention to detail • Good English language skills, spoken and written • Comfortable working in a chilled production environment • Authorised to work in the UK (unfortunately we cannot provide visa sponsorship) What We Offer • Competitive salary starting at £16.58 per hour up to £18.78 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
