The company is entering a very exciting stage in their journey, with the product now embarking on the design transfer phase and preparing for production within the next 6 months. As such, they are seeking a highly experienced Software & Electronics Development Engineer with broad technical expertise to take ownership of the electronics and software elements as the product moves from development into manufacturing and scale-up. The successful candidate will work across firmware, electronics design, PCB layout (Altium), and LabVIEW instrumentation, with a strong focus on product industrialisation and solving engineering challenges that arise as volumes increase. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition from advanced prototype to full production in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: * Support the transfer of the product from design to manufacturing, solving engineering issues in electronics, firmware, and production instrumentation * Maintain, adapt, and optimise existing firmware within the constraints of regulatory compliance (IEC 62304, ISO 13485) * Lead electronics design, schematic capture, and PCB layout using Altium * Develop LabVIEW applications for test and instrumentation * Collaborate with manufacturing partners to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring quality and performance at scale Qualifications and Skills: * Proven experience in electronics design, PCB layout (Altium), and embedded systems development * Strong C/C++ skills for embedded systems and familiarity with STM32 microcontrollers * Experience with LabVIEW for instrumentation and testing * Track record of taking products from development through to production, ideally in a regulated environment such as MedTech, aerospace, or automotive This is a unique opportunity for a talented Software & Electronics Development Engineer to join a fast-growing MedTech company at a pivotal moment as they move from design into production.
