Senior Commercial Manager is sought to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our commercial strategy. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially astute, hands-on leader to drive growth, improve efficiency, and enhance client experience through innovation and collaboration.
Overview
As Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll take the lead on high-impact strategic projects—most notably the digitisation of our quotation process to improve speed, accuracy, and client engagement. You’ll also review and optimise the profitability of our products and services, guide commercial due diligence for new opportunities, and deliver initiatives that strengthen our competitiveness and operational excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Commercial Strategy & Leadership – shape and implement the commercial strategy, drive pricing and margin optimisation, and provide strategic input into bids, partnerships, and new market entry.
* Transforming the Quotation Process – redesign and digitise workflows, selecting and implementing digital tools to boost efficiency and client experience.
* Profitability & Growth – analyse product, service, and client profitability, recommend actions to improve margins, and support the launch of new offerings.
* Strategic Projects – lead cross-functional initiatives that improve revenue streams and ensure commercial compliance.
* Team Leadership – manage, mentor, and develop the Commercial Manager and Commercial Assistant, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who combines strong commercial acumen with a practical, hands-on approach. You’ll be resilient, solutions-focused, and ready to meet challenges directly. Equally important, you’re a collaborative leader who values teamwork over ego, engages effectively across technical and non-technical functions, and champions a positive, client-first culture.
You’ll also bring:
* Track record of leading digital transformation initiatives, especially in the sales acquisition process.
* Strong knowledge of SaaS environments, pricing, and margin management.
* Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
* Data-driven approach with CRM/ERP expertise (Dynamics preferred).
* Inspirational leadership experience, with a focus on developing people and improving processes.
Qualifications
* Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
* Professional qualifications (e.g., CIPS, CIMA, or equivalent) advantageous.
