Join to apply for the Mechanical Tradesperson role at The University of Salford.
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team that is responsible for maintenance and repairs on heating, ventilation, and water services across the university. In this role you work across the university both unassisted, and as part of a team of trades and handypersons colleagues and external contractors.
As part of the full-time role you receive 32 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, additional days for winter closure and the opportunity to buy more.

Responsibilities
* You will work on your own initiative and as part of the wider Estates team.
* You will have extensive experience in plumbing and heating mechanical HVAC for both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
* You will flex your exceptional communication and customer care skills as you respond to tasks, queries and situations daily, in a professional and friendly manner and with attention to detail.
* You may, at times, be asked to work a flexible working week outside of the agreed shift pattern. This could include occasional early starts, late finishes or weekend work as you will be added to the out of hours call-out rota in the trades team (once every 9 – 11 weeks, approximately).
Qualifications and experience
* Completed a full indentured apprenticeship registered with the CITB or hold a City and Guilds of London Institute Certificate NVQ Level 3 in plumbing and heating (minimum).
* Other qualification in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
* Full UK driving licence.
