Our Data department is responsible for delivering reported and derived data, news, and analytics through innovative technology - quickly and accurately. What's the Role? Bloomberg's Funds Data product is looking for an individual to be its dedicated vendor coordinator, forming part of a team of market experts and technologists tasked with building up its Fund manager database. There are over half a million Funds in the market, each with various structures and characteristics to meet the unique needs of investors. Bloomberg's Funds Data team uses various sources such as Annual Reports, Prospect, Statement of Additional Information (SAIs), and Key Investor Information Documents (KIIDs) to collect the relevant data on Funds operating within the industry. Within these workflows, vendor resources play a meaningful role in sourcing content that is used to power the Funds database. The vendor operation for Funds is growing and currently consists of over 150 vendors across multiple agencies! In this role, you will be expected to work alongside the department's Vendor Manager, who is responsible for the department-wide strategy of its vendor operations, to handle the day-to-day workflows and reporting that drive and come from vendor work. We'll trust you to: Report on vendor performance to senior management and project leads on Service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) Evaluate and supervise the success of the vendor operation in achieving its goals, metrics, and service level agreements Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in Funds to ensure accurate prioritization of business planning initiatives Drive workforce planning initiatives in Funds to ensure the accurate resources and skills are in place to align with business needs Build scale up, wind down, and re-allocation schedules for vendor resources as business needs and projects change over time Provide training and upskilling initiatives for the team alongside creating and maintaining governance documentation Actively conduct process analysis and process engineering across business lines to improve operations Work alongside the project leads to develop workflows that leverage vendor staff Establish a center of excellence for operational analysis, and strive for continuous improvement in our workflows You'll need to have : * Please note we use years of experience as a guide, but we certainly will consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for the role. 1 year of experience in resources or vendor operations, including experience leading vendors or contract workers 1 year of recent experience in building and project managing outsourcing strategies for a department/product 1 year of recent work experience in the Financial Services Industry, including exchanges, market data providers or financial institutions Demonstrated experience in data management technologies such as Microsoft Excel and Qliksense Demonstrated experience in organization skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously Experience establishing strong credibility and building influential relationships with multiple internal and external clients, vendors and partners Demonstrated experience in using a creative and flexible approach to problem-solving, aided by data analysis Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a frequently changing environment Conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills Willingness to learn the technologies for analyzing big data and learn the multifaceted impact of financial data We'd love to see : An understanding of the documents and entities within the mutual fund and exchange-traded product (ETP) space Does this sound like you?
