We are recruiting a Sales Manager for a specialist manufacturing business that is part of a well-established global group. This role is heavily focused on driving new business growth within a technical, engineered product environment, supported by the scale, reputation, and investment of an international organisation.
The Role
This is a hands-on sales leadership role with a strong emphasis on new customer acquisition. You will lead the sales function while personally driving key opportunities, identifying new markets, and converting complex, technical sales opportunities into long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a technical sales team with a clear focus on new business generation
* Proactively identify, target, and win new customers across defined markets or sectors
* Own and drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting and solution development to negotiation and close
* Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on growth, market penetration, and margin
* Work closely with engineering, production, and technical teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
* Build strong relationships with decision-makers at all levels, including engineers, buyers, and senior stakeholders
* Track pipeline activity, forecasts, and performance against growth targets
* Represent the business within the wider global group and at trade shows and industry events
About You
* Proven experience in technical B2B sales within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment
* Strong track record of winning new business rather than purely account management
* Experience leading or mentoring sales teams (or ready to step into a management role)
* Comfortable selling technically complex products or solutions
* Commercially driven, resilient, and highly motivated by growth
* Able to operate effectively within a global group structure while maintaining a hands-on approach
