Key Role Responsibilities
* Act as a lead pre-sales architect for infrastructure modernisation and hybrid IT transformation projects.
* Collaborate with account managers to qualify customer requirements and craft technically robust solutions.
* Design end-to-end infrastructure strategies across data centre, cloud, and networking domains.
* Engage with customers and partners in technical workshops, whiteboard sessions, and presentations.
* Oversee solution governance, ensuring all deliverables meet customer and internal standards.
* Maintain technical certification across partner technologies and contribute to internal education initiatives.
* Support and mentor junior engineers, helping to elevate technical capability across the business.
Key Attributes Required
* 5+ years' experience in a pre-sales or solutions architecture role focused on infrastructure or data centre transformation.
* Expertise in hybrid IT environments and technologies from vendors such as HPE, Dell, IBM, NetApp, and VMware.
* Deep understanding of configuration tools, infrastructure sizing, and technical design principles.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Hands-on experience in technologies such as:
* VMware vSphere/Cloud Foundation
* Public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
* Linux, containerisation, orchestration tools (e.g., Apstra)
* Familiarity with data protection, disaster recovery, and IT service management practices.
* Demonstrable ability to lead technical initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure.
