We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher who can contribute to a calm, safe, and stimulating environment while delivering a flexible and differentiated curriculum. You'll be joining a highly supportive team committed to educating the whole child.
About the Role
As a teacher, you will:
* Work under the direction of the Head Teacher and Deputy Head (Education).
* Deliver and review individualised learning programmes tailored to pupils' educational, emotional, and social development.
* Maintain strong, trusting relationships with pupils and encourage positive behaviour and resilience.
* Assess and report on pupil progress while supporting their emotional well-being.
* Contribute to curriculum development, classroom management, and school improvement plans.
* Collaborate with key staff, including Senior Leaders, Pastoral Team, and Teaching Assistants.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality lessons.
* Support preparation for public examinations and contribute to curriculum reviews.
* Promote positive behaviour and implement the school's Behaviour Management Policy.
* Participate in safeguarding duties and follow school safeguarding procedures.
* Complete reports and assessments in line with statutory requirements and internal policies.
Requirements
Essential:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Strong subject and Key Stage knowledge.
* Ability to teach pupils with varied abilities and behavioural needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Team-oriented and emotionally resilient.
Desirable:
* Experience teaching students with SEMH/ASD.
* Specialist qualification in Special Education.
* Experience working in residential or specialist settings.
* Familiarity with EHCPs and Looked After Children (LAC) processes.
