Woodside Logistics Group is seeking a talented analyst to join our in-house finance and analytics team at our headquarters.
With the advent of 5G connectivity and the Internet of Things, data generation is at an all-time high. This includes data from financial systems, trucks, warehouses, phones, IT systems, and other mobile devices.
As a Business Analyst, you will interpret this data and transform it into meaningful information to support decision-making at all levels. You will develop expertise in Excel and work with Microsoft technologies such as Power BI, Power Query, and Business Central. You will also gain practical knowledge of databases and SQL queries. This role bridges Finance, IT, and Operations, providing a comprehensive understanding of the logistics industry within one of Northern Ireland’s top transport companies.
Woodside Logistics Group employs over 650 staff across various sites, serving many prominent companies in Northern Ireland and the UK. We aim to build long-term partnerships to ensure reliable and cost-effective routes into key UK markets. Your role will involve providing live dashboards and information for timely decisions, as well as monitoring operational and financial metrics to enhance efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Analyze aspects of the company’s P&L and Balance Sheet through dashboards and reports
* Develop reports on cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
* Assist with weekly reporting for each company
* Create and maintain customer dashboards
* Liaise with departments such as Payroll, HR, IT, H&S, and Workshops to meet reporting needs
* Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required
Essential Criteria:
* Undergraduate degree in a business-related field with a minimum 2.1 classification
* Strong analytical and presentation skills
* Experience with Microsoft Excel
* Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI
