Role Overview The Minor Repairs Operative (MRO) will provide high quality minor repairs services to our customers across a range of sites, ensuring effective and efficient resolution of day-to-day repairs. As a new post, the MRO will be supporting the Operations Manager and Supervisor to set up and maintain systems for new services, enhance the information we have available to ensure we are using resources to the best of our ability and ensure effective communication with colleagues, tenants and customers to ensure we provide a high-quality service. Our ideal candidate will be flexible, open to change and happy to work independently as well as an integral member of our team. Core Responsibilities To carry out high quality and effective customer-focused repairs service to ensure buildings fixtures and fittings are fit for purpose, safe and pleasant places to live and work. Work with the Administrator and CAHA colleagues in the Property Services team to coordinate repairs jobs, ensuring most effective and efficient work schedule and good value for money. Supporting the H&S of the team by ensuring relevant risk assessments, data and method statements are referred to and followed for all works completed Please view full job description for more detail Role Requirements City and Guilds Level 2 qualification in plumbing, painting and decorating, plastering and/or other repairs-related field. Full clean driving licence and able to drive a small/medium works van (van provided). Experience of working in a similar or related role, providing practical repairs services across a variety of sites. Excellent understanding of health and safety in the workplace with a focus on repairs. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus for customer service Experience of working with the general public, including offering reassurance, explaining planned work and resolving complaints quickly and effectively.
