ECHO Personnel is seeking a reliable Paint Prepper to join our client's dynamic manufacturing team in Corby. The client is a well-established engineering and production business specialising in high-quality material handling equipment for industrial and logistics sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing metal components for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface finishing
Operating grinding and abrasive tools to remove imperfections and prepare surfaces
Using hand and power tools to ensure surfaces meet required finish standards
Inspecting components for quality before moving to paint stage
Following health & safety procedures at all times, particularly when using abrasive wheels and grinders
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Supporting wider production team with general factory duties as required
Requirements:
Previous experience in paint preparation, fabrication, or manufacturing environment preferred
Abrasive Wheels / Grinder certification (preferred but not essential)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Physically fit and able to stand, lift, and perform manual handling tasks
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Shifts:
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 16:30 Friday: 07:30 12:30
Pay Rate:
£13.50 per hour
