The Council is looking for an experienced ICT professional to provide leadership, direction, management and senior management engagement for the ICT Systems, Applications and Database support and development teams to deliver high quality secure end to end ICT services to the council.
Responsibilities
* The planning, initiation, direction, coordination, prioritisation, management and scheduling of complex corporate ICT projects and tasks identified and developed across diverse specialist teams.
* Manage the programme of work under the ICT and Digital Work programmes, ensuring outputs are cyber secure, highly available, supportable, compliant, accessible and usable, and fully meet corporate strategic and operational requirements.
* Consolidate Council technologies to develop integrated information systems, making optimal use of existing technologies and investment to deliver the developing digital service programme.
* The successful delivery of a wide programme of new system deployments, system or hardware upgrades, replacements or retirements, and business change, coordinating high profile/high impact digital projects and their interrelated dependencies.
* Translate business requirements into Microsoft and other technical solutions that meet the business requirements specification and securely fit the corporate infrastructure, making optimal use of existing technologies and investment.
* Develop, configure, and support applications such as Microsoft 365 suite, Print integration and Print solution, Microsoft Teams, softphone telephony, Microsoft Forms, Power BI, SharePoint, MS Bookings, MS Sway, PowerApps, MS Intune, etc.
* Maintain the overall integrity and coherence of the programme of projects, ensuring access to robust, compliant, supportable, and highly available systems, applications and their platforms to achieve council objectives and efficiency.
The Successful Candidate Will
* Demonstrate experience and ability to manage the work programme and tasks of teams undertaking technically diverse ICT projects.
* Have effective people management and communication skills to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services that meet customer requirements while aligning with council priorities and strategies.
* Possess the ability and diverse skill set to manage complex programmes with potential council-wide implications if not delivered to required quality, budget and timescales.
* Have significant diverse technical skills across a wide range of technologies and disciplines.
* Bring project management experience, broad technology understanding, strong communication, and a focus on high availability, safe and secure applications, systems and platforms.
