Due to company expansion, we have a requirement for a SHEQ Manager
As a HSEQ Advisor, you will support the delivery of an integrated service in all aspects of HSEQ management including supporting the development and delivery of strategic plans and objectives that support both operational requirements and the Group's governance and assurance framework for health, safety, environmental and quality management. Specifically in the Construction industry.
What We're Looking For
* A proven background in HSEQ management within a relevant industry (environmental, utilities, construction, or landscaping) Minimum 5 Year Experience
* A proactive, hands-on communicator confident working across operational and leadership teams.
* Knowledge of ISO standards and UK HSEQ legislation.
* NEBOSH General Cert Essential
* Experience with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 accreditation's essential. ISO management systems keep everything aligned, such as CHAS, Construction Line, Achilles etc
* Experience in the haulage industry an advantage
* Lead HSEQ compliance across multiple operational contracts, ensuring alignment with UK legislation and internal standards.
* Deliver safety coaching, lead incident investigations, and provide hands-on support to site teams through audits, toolbox talks, and RAMS review
* To adapt and to take on board any future requests or tasks as reasonably requested from time to time.
* You will carry out and manage the health, safety and environmental processes, including risk assessments, method statements, Tool Box Talks & internal audits and induction training.
* Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and sharing lessons learned.
* Attend and chair safety meetings
* Assist the divisions from the pre–construction stage of a project to mitigate risk and assist with all legislative compliance for all contracts undertaken
* Ensure workplace health, safety and environmental compliance, promoting a culture of safety through risk assessments, inspections
* Be responsible in planning, supporting the development of, and implementing robust HSE practices
* Mentor team members and support their professional development
* Communicates clearly and easily with everyone from site teams to senior management
* Can positively influence others and encourage better, safer ways of working
* Is comfortable working across & juggling different priorities
* Is always looking to learn and grow in their SHEQ career
* Develop, review and update project and company risk assessments.
* Construct and deliver high–quality reports in relation to accidents and incidents (as required).

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
