As a trusted global leader in aerospace, defence, and space, we are proud to be a company where diversity, innovation, and opportunity come together to shape a sustainable future where we can all succeed together through a shared vision.Your Role:As Quality Engineer Lead, you'll assure the quality of products throughout their product lifecycle by supporting the product lifecycle quality assurance, through the complete manufacturing process, and taking responsibility for ensuring that processes and procedures are in place and adhered to in relation to product quality.The Quality Engineer Lead plays a vital role in the support and development of our Quality Engineers, and Technician, and ultimately responsible for ensuring that products and services delivered have gone through the appropriate manufacturing / repair / validation process, prior to final handover to the customer.Key Responsibilities:Working closely with senior managers, as well as the Quality Engineers, to define quality objectives in line with company objectivesLead and develop the Quality Engineers, and Quality Technicians within your areaAssign workload, ensure support, and oversee activities of the Quality Engineers, and Quality Technician's within your areaEnsure that the appropriate action plans are implemented and carried out and measure their effectiveness.Conduct audits and OJT in accordance with regulations, company procedures and customer requirements.Lead and maintain the implementation validation processResponsible for the analysis of all data to develop quality improvement plans, ensuring their effectiveness and efficiencyEnsure that products and services delivered to the customers have gone through the appropriate manufacturing / repair / validation processUndertake QRQC (8D) as required to support timely operational throughput as requiredWhat You'll Bring:Demonstrable experience in utilising QA Tools such as APQP, Control Plans, and FMEASound experience of Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment (Aerospace/Defence/Automotive preferred)Experience of leading other team members, providing support and expertise relating to quality activityIn depth understanding of regulatory, international and quality management standardsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to initiate and maintain relationships with challenging international suppliers and manage frequent interactions with Senior Management and other internal customersAbility to challenge individuals at all levels to ensure compliance to business processes and standardsAt Safran, we understand that diversity and inclusion make teams stronger and more effective, and as an organisation, we are committed to fair and equitable employment practices for everyone.We also know that some candidates may be put off applying for jobs where they don't meet 100% of the criteria outlined in the advert, however, we encourage anybody to apply if you can demonstrate a variety of skills and experience relevant to the requirements of this role.Please let us know if you would like to discuss any reasonable adjustments to the application or hiring process that may better facilitate your participationTPBN1_UKTJ
