Overview
We are recruiting a Branch Manager in Newbury for a leading distributor of building materials. The role will lead a small team of 4‑6 people within a newly opened branch and drive sales.
Location & Salary
Location: Newbury
Salary: £35,000 – £37,000 (DOE) plus three bonus schemes, OTE in excess of £58,000. 25 days holiday, no weekends.
Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate a team of 4‑6 staff.
* Manage all aspects of the branch – sales, operations and customer service.
* Drive sales growth and achieve branch targets.
* Develop and maintain a profitable operation.
* Recruit, train and retain staff to support branch objectives.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable management/supervisory experience within the builders merchants or construction supplies sector.
* Background in construction supplies (various sectors) and operations & sales experience.
* Strong operational knowledge and ability to motivate a sales team.
* Proven track record of growing and sustaining a profitable operation.
* Ambitious, motivated and methodical individual.
Compensation & Benefits
* £35,000 – £37,000 (DOE) base salary.
* Three bonus schemes – exceptional earning potential.
* OTEn excess of £58,000.
* 25 days holiday, no weekends.
Additional Information
Company has a nationwide network of branches and is expanding – adding new branches in 2024 and 2025.
No company car.
Ideal candidate currently holds a position such as Branch Manager, Assistant Manager, Depot Manager, Sales Supervisor or Sales Manager.
