Job Title:
Senior Project Manager (Aerospace)

Seniority:
Mid - Senior (6-15 years of experience)
We are looking for an
experienced Project Lead
with a strong background in
aerospace or defence engineering
to take responsibility for both
project delivery
and
people leadership
. This is a chance to guide teams working on complex, mission-critical projects while helping to shape solutions that keep global fleets flying.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of complex
aerospace engineering projects
, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality targets are met.
* Manage and develop a team of engineers, providing
coaching, mentoring, and performance management
.
* Create and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource forecasts in line with business objectives.
* Drive stakeholder engagement with engineering teams, leadership, and external partners.
* Ensure projects comply with
aerospace standards, governance, and regulatory requirements
.
* Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain progress reporting to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in
people management
within engineering (leading teams, resource allocation, staff development).
* Strong track record in
project management
of aerospace or defence programmes.
* Knowledge of
engineering lifecycle management
, from requirements through to delivery.
* Proficiency with project management tools (e.g.
MS Project, Primavera, or similar
).
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Required Qualifications:
* Degree in
Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
.
* OR Recognised project management qualification (e.g.
APM, PMP, PRINCE2
)
Useful/Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Experience with
aerospace modification, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul), or defence projects
.
* Knowledge of risk management frameworks and earned value management (EVM).
