Who are TD?
TD Construction Testing are one of the UK's leading independent Construction Materials Testing Laboratories, and are UKAS accredited to BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017. We are based in St Helens, Merseyside and we carry out a range of testing for the civil engineering & construction industry, both in our laboratory and on sites across the UK.
What is Construction Materials Testing?
Construction Materials Testing, is the process of assessing the quality and performance of materials used in construction projects. Testing is carried out to ensure that the materials comply with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards. This involves testing materials such as soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials to ensure their strength, durability, and suitability for use in construction. These tests help ensure the structural integrity, safety, and longevity of buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.
What does a Site Technician do?
As a Site Technician, you will be required to carry out sampling and testing of Soil, Aggregate, Concrete and Asphalt, in accordance with British and European standards.
It is a manual outdoor based role, but staff will also help in the laboratory when necessary.
The role would require you to:
· Work in accordance with company policies and procedures
· Accurately complete testing and worksheets
· Manage and maintain company vehicles and equipment
· Liaise with client representatives
· Comply with HSEQ requirements

Do I meet the criteria?
You must have:
· Full UK Driving Licence
· No Experience Required (full on the job training will be provided)
· CSCS Card (preferred but not essential)
· Flexibility (to work varied shifts: day/night, overtime, weekends, occasionally away from home)
· Great Attendance & Punctuality
· Hardworking, Committed, Driven, can do attitude
· Ability to be self-motivated, and work under your own initiative but also as part of a team
