Randstad is recruiting for an experienced Highways Site Agent to join a reputable integrated services contractor on a highways improvement contract in West London.
Previous experience working on Motorways / highways term maintenance contracts (e.g., TFL) is highly encouraged.
This role is paid via CIS and is expected to last 12-18 months.
The scope of work includes roadworks and resurfacing schemes, drainage, street lighting, lining and signing projects, accessibility upgrades, urban realm improvements, walking/cycling paths, and public transport enhancements.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the successful delivery of highways improvement schemes, ensuring objectives and targets are achieved, leading to the overall project success.
* Manage site teams (internal or external providers) and deputise for the Works Manager in their absence.
* Oversee project execution, ensuring safety, quality, and budget adherence.
* Lead and manage on-site teams, fostering a positive work environment.
* Manage plant, labor, and materials for efficient project execution.
* Implement quality control procedures to ensure work standards.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
* Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in highways schemes/civil engineering, with a strong understanding of on-site health and safety practices.
* Experience in leading and managing teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* ONC, HNC, or degree in civil engineering.
* A certificate in Site Safety Management, CSCS card, SMSTS, and NRSWA certification are highly desirable.
