Clinical Nurse/Practitioner - Infection Prevention and Control

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning Infection Prevention and Control Team. The post holder will work within a multidisciplinary team comprising Infection Prevention and Control Nurses/Practitioners, microbiologists, BMS staff, and administrative staff to provide professional advice on Infection Prevention and Control practices and policies. The role involves promoting and developing infection prevention and control, fostering a culture of effective healthcare among Trust staff. Daily tasks include surveillance, training, audits, and outbreak management, ensuring these activities align with governmental directives.

Person Specification
Qualifications/Professional Registration
* Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Allied Healthcare Professional
* Teaching certificate (e.g., ENB 998, PP126/127, C&G730) or active Mentorship qualification
* Evidence of qualification for supervising, teaching, and assessing students (to be completed within 18 months)
* Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field
Experience and knowledge
* Extensive experience in the specialty
* Ability to work autonomously
* I.C. nursing qualification
Other
* Valid driving license; own vehicle or ability to use a car for work purposes
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
