Birkdale Tower Care Home, located in the heart of Birkdale, Southport, is a beautifully restored landmark offering luxurious surroundings and exceptional, person-centred care. We are currently recruiting a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant Days to join our dedicated team and help deliver outstanding care during day shifts.
As a Senior Care Assistant on Days, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting residents with personal care, hygiene, and daily routines
Providing emotional support and companionship
Monitoring residents' wellbeing and responding to any changes or concerns
Leading and supporting day staff, including supervision and guidance
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring clear handovers
Contributing to and reviewing individual care plans to ensure they reflect residents' changing needs
Ensuring care delivery is in line with regulatory standards and best practice
Assisting with staff appraisals, training, and liaising with healthcare professionals
Promoting a calm, safe, and well-managed environment throughout the day
What are we looking for?
Supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting
A warm, professional approach with a positive attitude
Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
Confidence in using care systems and maintaining accurate records
Ability to remain calm and lead effectively under pressure
Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends on a rota basis

* Overtime is paid for working over full time hours.
