Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineers to be enaged on a permanent basis, to be located in Bridgwater.
Key responsibilities will be:
Gathering input data, analysing / updating hypothesis notes and loading description reports
Performing mechanical stresses analyses
Equipment anchorages capability Possibly valves calculations
Proposing appropriate and proportionate modifications in case the sizing criteria are not met
Closing of open points and comments
Assessing and answering technical issues arising during manufacturing, construction works, erection
Assessing and integrating modification coming from the stakeholders after packages handed-over to JDO
Doing some hand calculations and running anchorages macros to assess the
feasibility of modification
Checking calculation notes and guide drawings subcontracted to external companies
Proposing improvements for the studies not finalized
Maintaining Edvance's QA procedures in delivering the design
Working with CAD designers/detailers in the preparation of the design drawings
Leading technical meetings with suppliers or any other necessary support entities
Qualifications
Science, mechanical engineering degree
First experience in Civil Work and Steel structures design and constructions activities
Knowledge of EUROCODE, RCC-M code (if possible)
Experience working in a multicultural environment
Knowledge of the client project or previous EPR and associated studies/doctrine is a real asset
Knowledge and CI & BoP buildings and specificities will be an added value
Experience in the management of transverse technical topics
Excellent Interpersonal skills, conscientiousness, organisation, writing ability
Good organizational, writing and oral expression skills in English are essential for the realization of the activities of document production, steering and interfaces with the various correspondents
Ability to prioritise, to manage numerous interfaces, to question and understand the imperatives of other downstream disciplines. Ability to meet commitments and deadlines Why We're Different:
