Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Adult Community Mental Health Team

If so, we have a fantastic full-time opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our well-established Adult Community Mental Health Team in the vibrant and multicultural city of Bradford.

Our approach includes a wide range of occupationally focused interventions, designed to support service users in achieving meaningful change in their day‑to‑day lives.
You will be joining a friendly, skilled, and collaborative multidisciplinary team consisting of Doctors, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Psychologists, an Art Therapist, Social Workers, Peer Workers and Support Workers. Together, we deliver a recovery‑driven service aligned with our Care Closer to Home initiative.
Main duties of the job
* Manage a rewarding clinical caseload, working closely with individuals to support their recovery and independence.
* Deliver safe, effective and person‑centred rehabilitation, using your professional expertise to advocate for the people we serve.
* Bring your evidence‑based Occupational Therapy skills to a dynamic multi‑disciplinary team, helping shape high‑quality interventions.
* Play an active role in team communication, service development and continuous improvement, ensuring we provide the best care possible.
* Offer supervision, guidance and support to colleagues, helping to nurture a positive and collaborative working environment.
* Provide excellent practice‑placement education, supporting the next generation of Occupational Therapists.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist who brings a dynamic approach to MDT working and a strong commitment to the core values and principles of Occupational Therapy. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for working‑age adults, offering specialist OT interventions and supporting service users as a Care Coordinator, with an occupationally informed focus.

Person Specification
Experience
* Significant post registration experience of delivering occupational therapy in hospital or community setting
* Experience of working with people with a range of mental health problems
* Community or inpatient experience
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent pre‑registration award in Occupational Therapy
* State registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
* Access to own transport and current driving licence.
* Professional Practice education accreditation
