The Role
We have an amazing opportunity for a Doctor to join our team at our world-class Bodymoor Heath Training Ground. You will play a fundamental role in creating the ideal environment to enable our players to reach their full potential and thrive. You will be responsible for leading and overseeing our Medical Department and working collaboratively with our Head of Performance and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide high-quality medical services to all players in the prevention, management and auditing of all sports-related injury and illness. Your responsibilities will include chairing medical meetings to provide player updates and progress, making relevant specialist referrals, providing pitch-side emergency care and managing the doping control protocols.
You will lead the delivery of clinical excellence and governance at all training sessions and matchdays (home and away) with responsibility for cardiac screening, medicine management and emergency action plans.

The Person
To be considered for this role, you will need :
* General Medical Council (GMC) registered Doctor
* A valid Level 5 Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF)
* Have experience and specialist knowledge of working within elite level sport
* Be eligible for medical indemnity to treat and advise BWSL players (the Club can support in arranging this)
You will need to have managed and coordinated medical staff to deliver high-quality injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation strategies with an understanding of medical science to support women’s athletes. You will also need to be a UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) Clean Sport Advisor (or be willing to complete prior to starting in the role) and be up to date with current regulations.
We are looking for a team player who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and is passionate about innovation and continuous development. You will need high professional standards and the ability to work confidentially and discreetly. You will need to build relationships with a range of stakeholders and manage expectations.
Given the nature of this role, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be able to work evenings, weekends and matchdays in line with the team’s schedule.
