Job Title: Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Location: West Midlands, Birmingham
Department: Paediatric Services
Rate: Up to £36 per hour
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Birmingham City Council for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to children, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct detailed assessments of children with diverse needs
* Create and implement personalized treatment plans
* Provide therapeutic interventions to support developmental progress and independence
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and families
* Manage a varied caseload and prioritize effectively
* Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and case reviews
* Maintain thorough and timely records in line with professional standards
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
* Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
* Experience in paediatric occupational therapy
* Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
* Valid driving license and access to a vehicle
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
