Sales Development Representative / Watford / Hybrid / £30,000 base plus bonus
A respected, mission-led insight and services organisation within the food and consumer goods sector is seeking an ambitious SDR to support its continued commercial growth.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in generating and qualifying new business leads across a portfolio of insight, research and thought leadership services used by major FMCG manufacturers, retailers and industry suppliers.
Working closely with senior sales colleagues, you’ll help build a strong pipeline of opportunities while developing the skills and experience needed to progress into a more senior commercial role.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and research prospective clients using LinkedIn, events, industry data and other channels
* Deliver personalised, multi-channel outreach campaigns (email, phone and social)
* Generate and book discovery meetings for senior business development managers
* Qualify leads by understanding business challenges and assessing fit
* Maintain accurate CRM records and manage activity tracking
* Build strong knowledge of the organisation’s proposition and value to clients
About You
* Experience in B2B sales, lead generation, outreach, or a customer-facing role with transferable skills
* Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
* Proactive, curious and commercially minded
* Organised with good time and pipeline management skills
* Comfortable engaging new contacts and senior stakeholders
* Interest in food, grocery, retail or FMCG sectors (desirable but not essential)
