We are seeking a Finance Analyst with a solid financial background to support the FP&A Manager within the Operations division. The role involves preparing reports, consolidations, timetables, communications, controls, and critical process evaluations.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to support a department at the start of a new regulatory period, engaging with a high-profile operational business unit and senior internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst
* Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, including rolling forecasts and IBP (long-term business planning).
* Create high-quality reports, analysis, and commentary to aid decision-making.
* Manage relationships to understand and communicate performance drivers and support target achievement.
* Analyze P&L statements, identifying risks and opportunities.
* Contribute to key finance initiatives and handle ad-hoc queries.
* Collaborate with finance teams to ensure clarity of performance drivers and forecast/budget requirements.
Location and Working Pattern
Base location: Reading - Hybrid
Working pattern: 36 Hours/week
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified accountant (preferred) or qualified by experience.
* Proven experience in FP&A with a track record of adding value.
* System experience with SAP and HFM is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
* Strong analytical skills, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
* Attention to detail with a strategic perspective.
* Proactive, ambitious, and goal-oriented.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
