With a growing portfolio of exciting projects, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to our success. Responsibilities
* Design Leadership: Produce detailed mechanical designs, including HVAC systems, plumbing, heating, and ventilation solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
* Project Management: Oversee the delivery of electrical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
* Collaboration: Work closely with clients, architects, and other engineers to develop tailored solutions that meet project requirements.
* Technical Oversight: Review and approve designs, calculations, and specifications prepared by junior engineers and ensure quality assurance across all deliverables.
* Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering their development and encouraging a collaborative team environment.
* Sustainability: Incorporate energy‑efficient and sustainable design practices into project solutions.
* Site Support: Attend project meetings and site visits to ensure alignment between design intent and on‑site implementation.

Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent (Chartered Engineer status or working towards it preferred).
* Proven experience in electrical design within a consultancy or similar environment, including a strong portfolio of delivered projects.
* In‑depth knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., CIBSE Guides, Building Regulations).
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and calculation tools (e.g., Hevacomp, IES).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead client meetings and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Problem‑solving mindset with excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
* Commitment to sustainability and knowledge of renewable energy technologies is desirable.
