About the Role: As Deputy Childrens Home Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating a warm, welcoming, and nurturing home environment for young people under 18 with diverse needs. This includes Looked After Children (LAC), Children in Need (CIN), and those requiring emotional and behavioural support due to trauma. Your responsibilities will include: Creating a nurturing environment: Ensuring the home provides a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic space for young people with varied and complex needs. Collaborative Partnership: Working in close partnership with the Local Education Authority, Social Services, and the MASH team to deliver holistic and integrated care plans. Ensuring Outstanding Standards: Upholding the highest standards of care in line with current OFSTED regulations, utilising your expertise to contribute to a truly outstanding service. Team Leadership: Supporting and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional care and achieve positive outcomes for the young people. Operational Support: Assisting the Home Manager with the day-to-day operations, including rota management and staff supervision. What We're Looking For: Experience: Proven experience as a Residential Support Worker with young people under the age of 18, ideally with complex needs in a supported living environment. Experience within Social Care or as a Senior Residential Support Worker looking for career progression is highly desirable. Qualifications: Hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant social care or management field. A commitment to completing your Level 5 in Leadership and Management is essential. OFSTED Knowledge: A strong understanding of OFSTED regulations and best practices in children's residential care. Leadership Skills: Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver outstanding care. Passion for Young People: A genuine passion for empowering young people and fostering a positive, nurturing environment. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, and external professionals. Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts with the flexibility to plan in advance. Driving: A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential. Onsite parking is available.
