This role is to support a Year 4 pupil with behavioural needs and will run from after half-term through to the end of the academic year. The Role As a 1:1 Individual Needs Assistant, you will: Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with behavioural challenges. Support the pupil throughout the school day, both in and out of the classroom. Implement behaviour support strategies in line with the school's policies. Help the pupil remain engaged with learning and daily routines. Use the pupil's interests, particularly music, to build rapport and encourage engagement. Support emotional regulation, social interaction, and positive behaviour choices. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow agreed strategies and targets. Ensure the pupil feels safe, supported, and understood throughout the day. Candidate Requirements We are looking for someone who is: * Experienced working with children with behavioural needs, ideally in a school setting. * Calm, patient, and resilient, with a consistent and nurturing approach. * Confident managing challenging behaviour in a positive and proactive manner. * Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils. * Creative and flexible in their approach, using interests such as music to support engagement. * A reliable and committed team player who can work Monday to Friday. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, or 1:1 Support Assistant would be highly beneficial.
