Overview
Towpath Team Volunteer roles offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities, or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
There are no formal skills required and you have the chance to volunteer across lots of unique and beautiful environments.
What you will be doing
Come and join the Watford / Rickmansworth Towpath Taskforce in tackling a variety of tasks... from lock painting to vegetation management, graffiti removal, towpath repair, litter picks and area enhancement projects like flower planters/gardens to brighten up the area. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support. The activities take place along the Grand Union Canal in Watford / Rickmansworth from 10:00 to 14:00pm on the last Monday of every month. Once signed up, you will receive briefings as to where the sessions will take place. In addition, you will also be notified of any other sessions that may be planned.
