We are hiring a financial crime officer (6-month FTC) for an international bank. Key responsibilities include providing guidance on financial crime compliance across group entities, conducting ongoing KYC reviews to ensure regulatory adherence, and monitoring the effectiveness of compliance programs. The person also needs to maintain strong internal controls aligned with industry best practices and Group requirements.
We are looking for immediately available candidate only. It requires 3 days working in the office.
Day rate: 500/day inside IR35
Responsibilities:
* Review and oversee periodic KYC risk ratings and compliance for new and existing clients across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring alignment with Group and local regulations.
* Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on KYC matters to internal teams, including the preparation of Compliance Opinions for high-risk clients.
* Assist in maintaining and updating KYC-related policies and procedures; evaluate regulatory changes to ensure continued compliance and implement necessary enhancements.
* Drive process efficiency, ensure accurate record-keeping, assess enforcement actions for financial crime implications, and contribute to a compliant, client-centric culture.
Requirements:
* At least 5–7 years of experience within 2LoD, including involvement in QA and remediation projects.
* In-depth knowledge of the UK regulatory framework, JMLSG guidelines, and Money Laundering Regulations.
* Understanding of corporate and trust structures is beneficial for assessing client risk.
