Choices Homecare are seeking compassionate Domiciliary Care Workers for our locations across the Kirklees/Huddersfield area. Supporting individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own home and community, empowering them to live the life they choose.
Working hours: Our service provides care 7 days a week between 07:00 - 22:00. Applicants can choose full‑time or part‑time hours. We offer flexible zero‑hour contracts, with a minimum of 20 hours per week, including every other weekend. The schedule follows a simple 2‑week rolling rota.
Key Responsibilities of a Care Worker
* Supporting individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
* Assisting with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
* Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required.
* Promoting independence and encouraging service users to engage in daily living tasks.
* Building positive relationships with individuals and their families.
* Supporting emotional well‑being and recognising signs of distress or changes in behaviour.
* Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
* Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home.
* Respecting confidentiality and maintaining professional boundaries.

* UK driving licence and own vehicle essential for certain routes (30p per mile fuel allowance).

Additional Information
You’ll need a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle. To cover travel between clients, you’ll also need business use included on your car insurance.
This role is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have current and valid permission to work in the UK.
