As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care for patients. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients receive holistic, person-centered care based on the recovery model. You will also provide high-quality clinical care within the hospital services.

Your responsibilities as a Consultant Psychiatrist include:
* Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic planning.
* Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
* Providing psychiatric expertise in assessment, formulation, and treatment planning.
* Participating in management and clinical governance meetings, and contributing to service development.
* Supporting in-house training and supervising junior medical staff.
* Maintaining CPD and re-validation as required by professional bodies.
* Being part of an on-call Responsible Clinician rota.
Candidate requirements:
* Medical qualification, MRC Psych or equivalent.
* Innovative with decision-making skills.
* Knowledge of current developments in psychiatry and mental health.
* Experience in change management, relevant legislation, and contractual issues.
* Previous consultant experience in a management role.
