About Us

Opened in September 2024, Ormston School provides a safe and nurturing environment for pupils aged 5 to 18. Our mission is to foster a learning atmosphere where every student can thrive, feel supported, and leave school equipped with the skills and experiences they need to contribute positively to their community.

As part of the Polaris Community, we have been dedicated to improving the lives of young people for over 30 years. With twelve SEN schools across the UK, we pride ourselves on delivering tailored, diverse, and appropriate education that inspires learning and encourages achievement. We are thrilled to share that 100% of our education services have been rated as Good or Outstanding by Ofsted!

* Prepare learners for external tests and ensure they meet high standards.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Experience in teaching KS3/KS4 and knowledge of the National Curriculum.
* A good understanding of effective teaching strategies and how children learn.
* The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and adapt teaching to meet their needs.
* Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.

* A commitment to your professional development with a variety of training opportunities.
* The chance to make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
* A friendly and inclusive team dedicated to improving pupil outcomes.
* Company pension, life assurance, and an employee discount scheme.
