Job Description:
Brief Description: To provide a customer-focused presence within the station on a day-to-day basis to deliver a first-class and safe station environment for Train Operating Companies (TOCs), passengers, and retailers.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide a highly visible point of contact for station users, offering customer service to visitors, contractors, retailers, TOCs, and passengers.
2. Undertake regular station checks, including contractor compliance, security, safety, and equipment, in accordance with relevant standards and procedures, and complete the necessary paperwork for audits.
3. Respond to and record emergencies and incidents involving the public and industry partners as required.
4. Report and record faults within the station, maintaining records, reviewing, and closing actions as necessary.
5. Assist and provide information to customers traveling through the station.
6. Ensure contractors have relevant risk assessments and method statements before issuing Permits to Work.
7. Collaborate with customers, authorities, and regulators to implement plans preventing and managing criminal activity, including discouraging unauthorized access.
8. Proactively address hazards or unsafe conditions, ensuring proper reporting.
9. Fulfill duties as outlined in Emergency Plans.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
* Proficiency in written and spoken English
* Experience in a customer-facing role
* Confidence to handle various situations assertively
* Ability to work effectively within a team
* GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
