Our Legal Services team is seeking a Conveyncing Residential Fee Earner to play a pivotal role in our continued success. This role is full time, We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to manage a varied caseload of residential property matters, delivering a seamless service from instruction through to completion. This role combines technical expertise with strong client care, ensuring transactions are progressed efficiently, compliantly, and to the highest standard.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Manage a full caseload of residential property transactions, ensuring matters progress efficiently and meet agreed timelines.
* Provide clear, professional advice to clients, maintaining excellent communication and a high standard of client care throughout.
* Undertake all legal aspects of transactions, including drafting contracts, reviewing titles, raising enquiries, and reporting to clients and lenders.
* Liaise with all relevant parties—clients, estate agents, lenders, and solicitors—to ensure smooth and timely progression of matters.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, while maintaining accurate records, managing risk, and contributing to billing targets and overall team performance.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone with:
* Proven experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently from instruction to completion.
* Strong knowledge of property law, conveyancing procedures, and Land Registry requirements.
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g. Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive) or equivalent practical experience.
* Demonstrable experience handling sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and leasehold transactions.
* Sound understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering (AML) obligations.
* Experience of working with case management systems and maintaining accurate electronic files.
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to meet billing targets and contribute to departmental performance.
* Excellent client care experience, with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
* Experience liaising with third parties such as estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors to progress transactions efficiently.
