This is a great opportunity for an experienced Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to work with our prestigious Global Client at their premises in Leeds. The role forms a vital conduit between our client and additional Expleo resources located at our offices around the UK. Responsible for the C & I design projects to handover to production, observing the need to apply cost effective solutions and ensuring costs are controlled within estimates provided at the tendering stage Undertake responsibility for all design, processing and supporting activities for the assigned product range, including, where appropriate, pre-sales support Review of `bought in` Controls & Instrumentation kit to evaluate alignment with client spec and hence reduce project risk Issue of C&I related documentation, requisitions and piece lists to satisfy design, manufacture and customer requirements Be responsible for the specification of factored equipment and sub-contract services such as control panels, application software commissioning and electrical, control and instrumentation materials etc. Control the certification of all drawings and technical data (including vendor drawings and data) issued to the customer Give support to other departments on engineering problems associated with the product range Liaise with Customer and Sub-suppliers as necessary Observe the need to apply cost effective solutions and participate in ensuring costs are controlled within estimate. Ensure that product development ideas are passed to the appropriate channels Participate in introducing new or revised standard products into our manufacturing range and ensuring that our designs are compatible with the latest design standards. Participate and actively support company initiatives Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.
