Randstad is partnering with a leading organisation in the social work sector. This role offers an opportunity to make an impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families.
Responsibilities
* Work with children and families from referral through assessment, Child in Need (CIN)/Team Around the Child (TAC) support, child protection, pre-court and court proceedings, and children in care.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families.
* Conduct thorough assessments (e.g., Section 17, Section 47, Child and Family Assessments).
* Develop and implement child-centred plans (CIN Plans, Child Protection Plans, Care Plans).
* Respond to safeguarding concerns, undertake Child Protection Enquiries (Section 47).
* Engage in direct work with children and families.
* Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
* Prepare statutory reports for court proceedings and participate in legal processes.
Expectations / Requirements
* You have a social work degree and relevant professional registration.
* You possess post-qualification experience in children's social work, covering CIN/CP, court work, and permanence.
* You have experience conducting thorough assessments and developing child-centred plans.
* You are proficient in working with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
* You demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
* You are able to work independently and as part of a team.
* You are adept at managing complex cases and responding to crisis situations.
* You are committed to continuous professional development.
