Area Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a leading manufacturer of Automation and Pneumatic Components. The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will work fully remote, responsible for new business development and key account management, selling pneumatic / automation / linear motion products and systems, primarily covering the South of the UK. This role will transition into Sales Leader / Sales Manager role. The Area Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will ideally have experience selling mechanical or automation related products or solutions,such as linear motion, actuators, pneumatics, conveyors, valves, motors, power transmission, gearboxes, MRO, rotating equipment or similar. This role will transition into Sales Leader / Sales Manager role. Be responsible for the management of 3 to 4 external sales engineers. Manage and grow existing relationships as well as new business development selling engineered pneumatic / automation / linear motion products into various industries. Identify and develop new linear motion sales opportunities through demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation. Liaise with various engineering departments Fully remote role covering primarily the South of the UK. Area Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Requirements Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Representative or similar having sold a technical mechanical engineering product. Experience selling linear motion, actuators, pneumatics, conveyors, valves, motors, power transmission, gearboxes, MRO, rotating equipment or similar would be preferred. Experience of directly managing sales teams would be highly desirable. A technical qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or Degree) is advantageous though not a necessity. Full clean driving licence. Willingness to travel, primarily across the South of the UK.
