General Manager Opportunity - The Mill on the Exe
The Mill on the Exe is a contemporary pub with comfy rooms. Nestled riverside, yet just a stone’s throw from the bustling city of Exeter, it offers a perfect blend of tranquillity and energy.
This role truly has it all, including a two-bedroom home with stunning views of the River Exe.
If you are an experienced General Manager with a proven track record in high-volume, premium pub environments, this could be your chance to step into a high-profile role with St Austell Brewery and make your mark at one of our most iconic sites.
About you:
* You lead the front of the business, managing a passionate team to deliver delightful experiences.
* You champion the spirit and values of St Austell Brewery, inspiring your team and setting a positive example.
* You closely monitor team performance, providing praise, constructive feedback, and nurturing talent.
* You oversee all finance and admin procedures meticulously.
* Establishing strong relationships with stakeholders and customers is key.
* With extensive experience in a similar role, you recognize when team members need support and provide it.
* You are a natural leader, communicating effectively and delegating to achieve and surpass targets.
* You monitor customer feedback to ensure high standards and continuous improvement.
* You thrive under pressure during busy peak seasons.
* Effective communication and listening skills are vital to keep everyone aligned and approachable.
