Overview:
Lloyd Warren Partners are representing a long-established contractor specialising in commercial painting, decorating, and building maintenance. Due to continued growth across the Northwest and Southeast regions, we are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team at their Liverpool head office.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with the Commercial Manager and Assistant Quantity Surveyor, overseeing projects from initial enquiry through to final account. You'll play a key role in cost control, procurement, and client liaison, ensuring smooth financial management across a diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with clients from initial enquiry through to completion and final account.
* Prepare valuations, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts.
* Manage sub-contract procurement and agree final accounts.
* Carry out site surveys and measure works accurately.
* Use Schedules of Rates effectively to prepare quotations and variations.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Support the Commercial Manager with general QS and reporting duties.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role (commercial or maintenance sector preferred).
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
* Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Highly numerate, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
* Clean, full UK driving licence (preferred).
Desirable:
* Experience within social housing, cyclical maintenance, or refurbishment environments.
* Ability to produce Gantt charts or programmes of work.
