Early Years Manager - Summer - Salisbury, Wiltshire
Hours: 08:00-18:00, Monday - Friday. (Total hours will not exceed 47.5 hours per week)
Salary: £580.24 - £718.65 per week, depending on age, experience, qualifications, and camp size
Note: Contracts for February Half Term will be issued at 2023 wage level. 2024 wage level effective from 1st April.
Reports to: Camp Manager, Area Manager, and Central Office

Early Years Manager Duties
* Support and deliver induction training; oversee setup days before camp
* Complete paperwork and oversee high-risk activities per Barracudas Activity Codes of Practice
* Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment
* Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage by planning Explore and Play sessions
* Serve as the Designated Person (DP) for Safeguarding, handling child protection issues
* Communicate regularly with Area Managers and Central Office
* Conduct observations and participate in high-risk activities with staff and children
* Monitor staff understanding of safeguarding procedures
* Act as the main contact for OFSTED inspectors
* Communicate with parents, handle administrative tasks, and manage staff
* Maintain site and equipment tidiness and oversee packing away
* Assess and review staff performance at season's end
* Support staff during sessions as needed
Requirements
* Attend compulsory senior training events
* Qualifications in Early Years (e.g., CACHE L3, PGCE, BA Primary Education)
* Experience in a childcare setting
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS check (through Barracudas or on the Update Service)
* Satisfactory references
* Attend and deliver induction training before camp opens
* Complete annual online training
* Coordinate camp pack-up
* Minimum of 1-2 staff members Paediatric First Aid trained, depending on camp size
Additional Responsibilities
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently
* Proactively address safety issues
* Prepare for induction training
* Evaluate staff performance at contract end
* Report child protection concerns appropriately
* Be aware of children’s additional needs and assist with reasonable adjustments
* Administer medication following EI forms and document accordingly
* Bring swimwear daily for swimming sessions
* Perform other tasks as required by the organization
