Vacancy: Joiner / Locksmith
Location: Barrow-In-Furness, Cumbria
Salary: £25,000 - £34,713
Working Hours: 07:30 – 16:30, Monday to Friday

Role Overview:
Working as part of a team undertake routine planned maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, covering all areas within the scope of the contract.
What you’ll be doing:
Undertake the repair & replacement of locks across site, covering:
1. Desk Pedestal
2. Tambour Units
3. Personal Lockers
4. Mobile phone lockers
5. Internal door Locks
6. Padlock Replacements
7. Digi Pads
Support the site to maintenance services including pest proofing works, painting, carpentry work, small plumbing works:
8. Operate MEWP as directed
9. Install and dismantle Pasma/stair towers (training to be provided)
10. To ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed satisfactorily and to the expected standard
11. To be responsible for the care and proper use of building maintenance equipment and tools
12. Ensure that spares and materials are used in a cost-effective manner
13. Support other team members
14. To undertake all duties in a safe, tidy and responsible manner in accordance with H&S
Person Specification
Who you'll be:
15. Carpentry & Joinery (City & Guilds) qualified -NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry
16. Master Locksmith Association Level 4 Certificate in General Locksmithing (Desirable)
17. Previous experience in building work
18. General awareness of Health & Safety regulations
19. Undertaken relevant Health & Safety training
20. Knowledge of permit to work system
21. Knowledge of associated building maintenance equipment and tools would be advantageous
22. Full, valid UK driving license
23. Flexible approach to working hours – may be required for on-call
24. Must be able to work under own initiative
