Senior Enterprise Manager, Sheffield role at Royal Academy of Engineering
Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Senior Enterprise Manager, Sheffield. Leading the Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub in the Sheffield and South Yorkshire region in England, you will build a strong and credible network of key stakeholders, champion engineering and technology entrepreneurs, ensuring they have skills, networks, and resources at their disposal to succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavour.
Your impact on the future of engineering innovation locally will be considerable, with significant autonomy to operate. You will be integral in successfully starting up and growing the Enterprise Hub in these areas. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders from entrepreneurs, researchers, industry, and Government locally, bringing significant experience of supporting engineering and technology innovators and a good knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurship policy.
You should be adept at managing networks, leading projects and interpreting technical material. You will share our passion for engineering, technology, and entrepreneurship. A business development background would be useful, but it’s your relationship management and commitment to delivery that will matter most.
Responsibilities
* Lead the RAEng Enterprise Hub in Sheffield and South Yorkshire; build and maintain a credible network of entrepreneurs, researchers, industry, and Government; enable access to skills, networks, and resources to support entrepreneurial endeavour.
* Manage networks and projects; interpret technical material; drive delivery and outcomes; nurture relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Contribute knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurship policy to inform programme activity and partnerships.
* Collaborate with partners and RAEng teams; support local entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives to grow the Enterprise Hub.
Qualifications / Experience
* Strong relationship management and delivery focus with experience in engineering or technology entrepreneurship support.
* Experience enabling engineers and technology innovators; knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurship policy.
* Ability to lead projects, manage diverse networks, and interpret technical material.
* Business development experience is useful, but the priority is delivering outcomes and building partnerships.
