The RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Technician to join our team. You will work closely with our structural engineers to produce accurate technical drawings and models for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities of this Structural Technician role:
* Produce structural drawings and details using AutoCAD (and/or Revit where applicable)
* Assist engineers in developing structural design solutions
* Prepare general arrangement drawings, reinforcement details, and structural layouts
* Coordinate drawings with architects and other consultants
* Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards and project requirements
* Maintain drawing registers and document control where required
Requirements of this Structural Technician role:
* Experience working as a Structural Technician within an engineering consultancy
* Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is advantageous)
* Good understanding of structural detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
* Ability to interpret engineering sketches and calculations
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable
* HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar)
* Experience on UK building projects and familiarity with UK standards
