How you'll make an impact Your Role: As a Climate Business Analyst, you will: Demonstrate a deep understanding of climate change and its business implications. Assess global climate models for various time horizons and scenarios. Contribute to the development of standardized climate risk assessments. Articulate uncertainty in climate models for strategic business planning. Collaborate with CESG teammates and other business units. Communicate offerings and research to brokers and external stakeholders. Build relationships with clients and contribute to market presence. Contribute to real-time event response products and global reports. Identify and collaborate with third parties to improve offerings. Contribute to the creation of intellectual property for monetization. Ensure advisory services comply with company requirements and regulations. About you Your Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Sophisticated university degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant scientific or environmental-related field (, Meteorology, Climatology / Climate Science, Geography, Hydrology, Sustainability, etc.). Deep understanding of the latest and emerging climate science ( IPCC). Proficiency in working with global climate datasets ( CMIP6, ERA5, JRA-55, etc.). Familiarity with catastrophe model vendor output ( RMS, Verisk, etc.). Prior experience in climate or meteorological-related roles within the insurance industry is required; not an entry-level position. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Tableau, R, Python, ESRI, etc. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively across the business. Ability to explain sophisticated concepts in a clear and concise manner. Proactive thinking to facilitate forward strategic planning of product offerings.
