The role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be utilising your commercial expertise in support of the client for a major decommissioning project.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for overseeing commercial activities, such as contract change and administration, amongst provision of commercial advice and guidance.
* Provide commercial management and support to Q.S.’s as may be applicable for each project / contract
* Provide commercial support and expertise to projects being responsible for a range of commercial activities (bid governance, reviews, change management, compensation event contractual notices, etc.)
* Undertake internal compliance, liaising with the relevant Head of Commercial and customers as required
* Support the CNL Project Managers with all commercial aspects on the project
* Develop relationships with key stakeholders ensuring alignment of objectives and mutual setting of goals
* Full understanding of the head contract terms and conditions and how these flow down to the Subcontract supply chain
* Proactively ensures contract compliance exists and proposes and monitors correction plans to ensure any non-compliance is eliminated
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home and is based at our Birchwood, Warrington hub.
Essential experience of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Demonstrable experience in a Quantity Surveying role
* Strong commercial acumen
* Experience in supporting large-scale projects and complex change initiatives using appropriate methodologies
* Detailed understanding of business requirements and ensures these are adequately provided for in the overall sourcing strategy
* Good understanding of day to day commercial administration in the Engineering, Manufacturing or Construction industries
Qualifications for the Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Building Services Quantity Surveying or have a general degree in
Quantity Surveying
