Overview

High Down School have an exciting opportunity for 2 enthusiastic and committed 1:1 Learning Support Assistants.


Role and Responsibilities

Work within a learning framework set by the classroom teacher(s) and /or the SENCO, provide support for the individual needs of a named child, which ensures that they have equality of access to opportunities, in a safe and healthy environment to learn and develop both academically and emotionally.

The successful candidate will:

* Be able to build strong and positive relationships with colleagues, children and parents
* Be passionate about making a difference to all children
* Have some experience in working with children in a classroom setting and ideally have experience of working with children who have SEND
* Be flexible and able to work collaboratively and proactively within a busy team
* Be a reflective practitioner with a strong desire to learn and improve
* Be keen to undertake training relevant to the role
* Be resilient, positive, patient and compassionate.


Hours, Term Time, and Contracts

Two posts are available:

* Hours: 25 hours 25 mins per week, term time only & 5 INSET days
* Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2026
* Salary: JG3:SCP5 to SCP6, £25,583 - £25,989
* Actual Salary: £15,438.13 - £15,683.13
* Start Date: ASAP
* Hours: 15 hours 50 mins per week, term time only & 5 INSET days
* Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2026
* Salary: JG3:SCP5 to SCP6, £25,583 - £25,989
* Actual Salary: £9,613.91 - £9,766.48
* Start Date: ASAP
