We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Hewell, a category B Prison located in Redditch, Worcestershire.

In this role, you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
The site currently offers a 24-hour service, across 7 days per week.
You will be expected to work a mixture of days and night shifts, as well as every other weekend and bank holidays.
Day shift: 07:00 - 18:15
Night shift: 07:30 - 07:15
This position is full-time, with an annual salary up to £40,211 depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
* Deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
* Deliver non-judgemental care
* Build strong links with our partners and stakeholders

Qualifications required
* Registered nurse (Adult)
* Current professional qualification (NMC)
* Understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working complexities
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and national standards
Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable but not essential.
