HOURS:Full time (35 hours per week)

InCustomer & Commercial (C&C), we put customers at the heart of every decision, championing their voice while building a commercially sustainable business. From everyday needs to life’s big moments, we design and optimise solutions that deliver value for customers and the Group.
As Senior Manager you will be a key member of theBusiness Performance Leadership Teamwhich is led by the Head of Business Performance and part of the wider Customer & Commercial team.
This role involves having ownership and accountability for:
1. Commercial tracking/reporting– monitoring segment/proposition performance, highlighting areas of concern, and working with wider C&C team toidentifyopportunities to drive both value and growth.
2. Data / analytics– proactively supplying segment/proposition teams with data and analytics to help shape strategies/propositions. Designing measurement approaches that drive positive performance across our key priority areas
3. Business casedevelopment -developing business cases fornew ideasinitiatives to ensure commercial viability and effective prioritisation.
4. Investment planning
5. Forecasting/planning– leading regular financial forecasting process (6YOP, etc.), owning the overall commercial story
6. Cost management– day-to-day cost management, overseeing spend, variance analysis and driving prioritisation of decisions to hit cost numbers

Essential experience and capabilities
Commercial awareness & critical thinking
7. 7+ years’ experiencein commercial performance, finance, business strategy,consultingor a similar analytical rolewith a strong understanding of how products and propositions drive income and value,and abletoidentifyhighvaluegrowth and efficiency opportunities, using market, economic and competitor insight to shape priorities and plans.
Data literacy
8. Proven experience incommercial tracking, forecasting and financial planning, including multiyear outlooks (e.g. annual plans,mediumtermplans)
9. Confident using data and analytics to inform decisions, with experience working with visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
10. Able to interrogate data toidentifyopportunities, quantify benefits and improve how teams use insight to drive performance.
Influence, Communication and collaboration skills
11. Proven ability to partner, challenge and influence seniorleaders and colleaguesacross a complex organisation, balancing customer and commercial needs, resolving tension and driving accountability for outcomes.
Storytelling & communication
12. Able to turn complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives for senior audiences, includingExecutivelevelforums, and use insight to drive understanding and action.
Leadership
13. Experience leading and developinghighperformingcommercial and/or data teams,rolemodellinga growth mindset and actively contributing to culture and capability development.
